Xiaohu Ge is currently a Huazhong Scholar Professor in the School of Electronic Information and Communications at Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST), China. He received his PhD degree in Communication and Information Engineering from HUST in 2003. He has worked at HUST since Nov. 2005. Prior to that, he worked as a researcher at Ajou University (Korea) and a post-doctoral at Politecnico Di Torino (Italy) from Sept. 2004 to Sept. 2005. He was a visiting Professor at University of Agder, Norway from Nov. 2011 to Nov. 2012. His research interests are in the area of mobile communications, green communications, and interference modeling in wireless communications. He has published about 80 papers in refereed journals and conference proceedings and has been granted 11 patents in China. He received the Best Paper Awards from IEEE GlobeCom 2010. He is leading several projects funded by NSFC, China MOST, and industries. He is taking part in several international joint projects, such as the RCUK funded UK-China Science Bridges and EU FP7 projects. He is now funding director of international collaboration research base——Green Broadband Wireless Communication Laboratory granted by the Science and Technology Department of Hubei Province.

Dr. Ge is currently serving as Associate Editors for IEEE Access Journal, Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing Journal (John Wiley & Sons), International Journal of Communication Systems (John Wiley & Sons), IET Networks, etc. Since 2005, he has been actively involved in the organization of more than 10 international conferences, such as Executive Chair of the 2013 IEEE International Conference on Green Computing and Communications (GreenCom2013) and Technical Program Committee (TPC) Co-chair of IEEE 7th International Wireless Internet Conference (WICON 2013). He is a senior member of the IEEE, a senior member of the Chinese Institute of Electronics, a senior member of the China Institute of Communications, and a member of the NSFC and China MOST Peer Review College.
